To generate in participants of Regular Upward Bound the skills and motivation necessary for success in education beyond secondary school, to assist members of Veterans Upward Bound in preparing for a program of postsecondary education and to help high schools students do Upward Bound Math and Science projects that prepare them for postsecondary education programs that lead to careers in the fields of math and science
