Nutrition Standards in the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs

This rule proposes to revise the meal patterns and nutrition requirements for the National School Lunch Program by increasing the availability of fruits, vegetables, whole grains and fat-free and low-fat fluid milk in school meals; reducing the levels of sodium and saturated fat in meals; and helping meet the nutrition needs of school children within their calorie requirements
