In 2020, the United States, along with the rest of the world, was impacted by disruptions caused by the response to the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, which caused businesses, universities, governments and other organizations to halt operations, thereby severely hindering the funding and operations of their grant programs.
