The Digital Accountability and Transparency Act (DATA Act), Pub. L. 113-101, was enacted May 9, 2014, in another remarkable bipartisan effort to improve and expand federal fiscal accountability through better transparency and improved data management. The DATA Act was intended “to expand the Federal Funding Accountability and Transparency Act of 2006” (see ¶112). FFATA, among other things, established USAspending.gov.
