Thompson Grants Provides One Year of Grant-Related COVID-19 Links

One generally would not want to observe the one-year anniversary of a nationwide pandemic. However, we wanted to bring to your attention that Thompson Grants has provided its "Grants-Specific COVID-19 Links" roundup for a year now, and the section is still going strong as federal agencies continue to release COVID-related guidance and FAQs that impact grant programs. This is expected to continue in force with the recent enactment of the American Rescue Plan Act (Pub. L. 117-2), which provides $1.9 trillion in federal funding to respond to the economic effects of the pandemic.
In its first couple of weeks last year, our COVID-19 links roundup started with a relatively small sampling of about 20 links to initial agency guidance addressing the pandemic. Our thought process was that agencies last March were putting out a wealth of new information about all aspects related to COVID-19, but much of this generally focused on health and well-being. However, some of the guidance actually provided agency instructions and flexibilities for grant recipients whose grant programs were severely limited by stay-at-home orders and travel restrictions. We developed our links roundup to be a one-stop-shop for those kind of links.
Over time, and with the passage of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act) (Pub. L. 116-136) and other stimulus packages, the number of links continued to grow exponentially. To make it easier for our readers, we enabled recipients to click on an agency of interest at the top to scroll down immediately to guidance released by that particular agency. We also added links to the actual congressional legislation on COVID-19 relief, Office of Management and Budget and Government Accountability Office memoranda and alerts on the topic, and included links to Thompson Grants conference, webinars and free resources that address COVID-19 issues.
Today, the roundup has close to 300 links. New links or newly updated clinks are noted with asterisks. Although some of the links may no longer be timely, we are maintaining them for reference as they may still provide information that a grant recipient could find useful in managing their award.
We will continue to update this roundup on a weekly basis as long as agencies continue to provide new and updated grant-related guidance, and Congress enacts stimulus packages, that apply to the COVID-19 pandemic – which we don’t foresee ending any time soon. Check this section regularly because it can provide valuable information to help you ensure your grant program stays compliant and that you don’t lose your federal funding.
