4.4 - Virtual Monitoring

Some federal and pass-through entities are increasingly using virtual monitoring. It is essentially a hybrid of onsite monitoring and desk reviews. It involves a combination of a documentation review along with phone interviews and conference calls. Like onsite monitoring, pass-through entities and subrecipients need to prepare for the virtual monitoring visit.
