All applicants must complete and maintain all required registrations. Required registrations usually include: Grants.gov or any other submission portal, any nonprofit status through the Internal Revenue Service such as 501(c)(3) (see ¶376) and System for Award Management (SAM.gov) registrations that must be renewed annually. Organizations also should have an Employer Identification Number (EIN), sometimes referenced as a Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) (see ¶260).
